Finaly!!! An ECG blogpost
Hi all!!!
I knooooowwww....it's been a while ^__^''
I'l make it up with a long post about Japan Expo in France, pictures and videos ok?
As some of you might knew from my previous post, I won the ECG solo preliminary rounds here in The Netherlands. Which means that I had to go to Paris and show them what the Dutch people where made off in the cosplay world.
Once we've arrived at the hotel I took a niiiiiiceee warm bath hahaha.

Since my fiance and I didn't really had dinner we ate something in the lounge which was pretty good stuff ^__^
We knew this would probably the only day that we could see the complete expo without standing still for photo's in a costume.
We had dinner at a Chinese restaurant near our Hotel. I didn't really enjoyed it alot but it was ok and I wasn't extremely hungry but still enjoyed it and was at complete ease and chilling the crap out of me XDD
In the evening we recieved our schedule for the upcoming days and also had to pick cards to see which solo and which duo would show up on stage.
I picked the card with 5th solo and 10th double. That means I had to get up as 5th person for the solo's and my friends, Rick and Ilona, had to show up as 10th act of the doubles.
At 9:00 AM a bus would drive us to the expo grounds.
We where free till 13:00 PM cause then we had to get dressed up to attend the Cosplay Show on a catwalk and show them the ECG 2011 finalist.
After that we had to show up on the smaller 100% Cosplay stage.
We where free till 19:00 PM cause we had to do some rehearsels on stage.
After that we went back to the hotel for some dinner.
We had to arrive at the expo at 7:30 AM, get dressed up as much as possible and do a rehearsel at 9:30 AM
After the rehearsel we got some time to finish our make-up and get dressed up.
In the first place my lights where still....shitty..
I was so happy that one of the staff came to me and asked me what should have been changed.
In the end it wasn't perfect but I still think it was nice to see though.
Thanks alot for fixing my light ^o^
We had more then 5 judges to judges our costumes. I think that was the only moment my nerves where itching in my stomach.
Furthermore I was just chillin around backstage without being nervous XD
I was very nervous before I went to Paris but being backstage was actually chill.
You could also see the acts of others cause they had a nice tv backstage XD
The compo should start around 13:00 PM or somethind but got delayed (that's normal ahaha)
The ECG (and WCS) preliminary rounds for France started right afterwards the ECG finals.
And the results came in pretty quick haha.
I had a wonderfull time on stage and with everybody backstage.
It didn't feel like a big compo but more a big cosplaying family with the same love for costumes and acts.

Who are also selected for the WCS in Japan!!
Finally after the compo we had some spare time again and a lot of stress fell of many shoulders I guess.
In the evening we drove back to the hotel and had our dinner.
On facebook we all made a deal that we should hold a ESG.
European Snackfood Gathering.
Every country should take something to eat from their homeland so we could all have a taste.
It was YUM!!!!!

We had a great time and the food was great!!
Loved the burger and the service.

Yup that's right. We had our traintrip back home to The Netherlands.

After a day of work my fiance and rushed to the station in The Hague to Amsterdam, got ourselves a slice of pizza and boarded the Thalys to Paris Nord.Once we've arrived at the hotel I took a niiiiiiceee warm bath hahaha.

The last day of Japan Expo
Even though the compo was over, we still weren't completely finished yet ;)
Yup that's right.
9:00 AM we had to be on the expo ground again and get all dressed up.

ECG!!!
Hi all,
Last month the 6th till the 8th of may we had a convention called Animecon 2011
At Animecon we had a few big competitions going on.
The WCS (World Cosplay Summit), the ECG Solo (European Cosplay Gathering) and couple.
The WCS is held in Japan. Two cosplayers from the same serie / manga will be representatives for the Netherlands in Japan Nagoya.
The ECG solo and couple is held in France. One cosplayer would be the solo representative and the couple would be the double representatives in France.
I entered the ECG solo competition with my newest cosplay Oruha from Clover and won the preliminary rounds!!!
That means I will be the Dutch representative and go to France to have the final competition against the rest of Europe.
(Spain, Belgium, France, Denmark, Portugal, Italy, UK, Germany, Switzerland and The Netherlands)

So...and now?
Well..I need to fix my wings. My wings contain from 2 parts cause I couldn't find big foam sheets.
I used adhesive plastic on it and due traveling my wings cracked a little. The adhesive plastic has a strong folding line in it now >__<
BUUUUT I finally found bigger foam sheets and I should be able to use each sheet for each wing part ^__^.
So yeah basicly I just have to start all over again with the wings.
I also might want to add some shoulder bands on the top. I sewed it much tighter allready but with the wings in it, it will slide down. >__<
Biggest thing I hate is just having to pull up my top everytime. It also looks so 'cheap'. Better use transparent shoulder bands then keep pulling your clothes.
For now..
I'm going to take a good rest. I feel totally crap X___X

Animecon 2011 HERE WE COME!!
Hey all,
It's been a while and I will keep this update pretty short.
This friday is Animecon 2011 and it will be a great weekend full of meeting friends, cosplay and a lot more.
Yet I will be there allready tomorrow to help out a bit and talk about the opening ceremony.
Finished eveything on my costume and I will post most details later next week or the week after that.
For now I will take a nice shower and get myself ready for the last things and stuff.
Some of you I will see this weekend and some of you will read my next blog.

My birthday celebration and some updates on some costumes
Hey all,
Alot of things to show and tell.
My mother-in-law said it should bring good fortune if I'd celebrate my b-day this year.
So I decided that I should invite the whole family, some of the dudes, let my fiancee make sushi, let my mom make yakitori and set up a karaoke (singstar) game.
It was a huge succes!!
My fiancee even had a line with his sushibar, the yakitori was gone in not even 3 minutes and some members of the family found the karaoke game a funthing.
Recieved alot of lovely cards and my auntie and uncle even made a Japanese card with a stamp of my maiko outfit XD
Got many more present that I haven;t made picture of but here are some more:
This was my outfit for the evening:
Wanted to try out something completely new with bronish colors.
Also made sushi for the kids by using bread and filled it up with chocolate sprinkles, jam, cheese and some kind of fruittasty sprinkles.
Going with a friend of mine and this might be the first time going to the fair in a costume XD
I chose for a design that looks like a kaftan and a kimono.
It's a very lightweighted fabric so when I walk the dress will flow and move around me.
I'm not 100% satisfied with the obi (belt) on the back....might want to get rid of the ribbon or only the tails of the ribbon....dunno :/
Also kinda want to have a print in the dress but I'm scared I might screw it up.
I should look like a geisha / ninja and it should look sexy. So maybe red and black sakura flowers or something like that should do fine I guess...
Still should work on some little details like the accesoires, shoes and make-up. But I SUCK at make-up T___T

Costume for the Elf Fantasy Fair:
Been busy with a quick costume for the Elf Fantasy Fair that is coming up on 16th and 17th of April.Going with a friend of mine and this might be the first time going to the fair in a costume XD

Also been working on Oruha's costume.It's only a small update and 3 pics but hey...it's something.
Been busy with my mic and finding the right color of gold.
I will be using the 3th one.
The middle one should be silver but it does have a golden glow in it.
Added the wings I made out of foam.
I'll be using clay to make the rest of the mic.
Should harden the clay up with pretex before I glue it all together.
I'm happy with the golden paint but unfortunately you can see the strokes >__<
You don't see them on the wooden staff because it's a different type of wood so I don't hope it looks very bad when I put them together.
Ok that was it for today. Going to pack some of my stuff or just go straight to bed.

My room and it's metamorphosis
Hey all,
WAAAUUWWW.....just had a complete change in my room and created alot of space!!!
Some of you might know that my room is a livingroom + sleepingroom + computerroom+ sewing / cosplay room which is equal to the word 'OMGWTFHUGEFRIGGINMESS!!!!'.
It started with the fact that my dad wanted to give me a new computerdesk (mom and dad lives separated so my dad didn't knew how much space I had left in my room....)
And it turned out to be a HUGE desk X__X
It just couldn't fit in my room.
I was a bit disappointed so my mom said I should take a look at the IKEA stuff cause they have many nice desks.
Found a perfect desk which was a desk + closet in one.
You can decide where you want the deskpart to be. Either it could be in the middle or more to the back or front.
The only way that this desk could fit was to get my 2 grey closets and move them to other rooms. That means I might not have all of my clothes and stuff in my room but in some cases I would say 'f*ck it'.
And here are the pictures WHY I would say this.

A grey closet is underneath the other one and ALOT of mess in front of it. Why? because my closet is full.
The grey closet next to my computerdesk. My drawer broke because of the amount of weight.
Also my GymFrom VibroMAX isn't really usable without getting rid of the mess first.
At the right my bed (covered with white sheets because of the cats.
The white small closet/table you see is my patterndrawingtable with my moms old sewingmachine of 30 kilo on it.
You can imagine what that means right....yup not touching my table.
I normally don't need the heavy sewingmachine cause I have my own sewingmachine but this one goes alot more easier with sewing leather and heavy fabrics.
TIME TO EMPTY MY CLOSETS AND CLEAN THIS MESS
ALOT of dust and an empty old computerdesk.
My fiancee was also helping me out be getting my new night table fixed ^____^
He was having troubles with the dust and stuff so he was wearing his scarf.
Ok you've seen alot of mess, dust and many more and might think I'm a dirty girl who doesn't clean up her room and get rid of her mess.
In the beginning I cleaned my room every saturday but after several years and getting more stuff and things and a hobby that takes over more space then you want to, it's kinda hard to keep up with it. If I cleaned my room it looked good though but I started to lose so much space.
Anyway.
After throwing away 4 up to 5 bags of junk and cleaned up everything in my room it now looks like this.
My bed and my new night table. Underneath some dumbells and my gymclothes.
Also YEAAAY for new covers for my bed.
My game and gymcorner.
I still have my old night table and the drawers won't go open very easily but at least there is more space.
I will get rid of the guitar hero guitars and give them back to my fiancee.
Next to my vibroMAX there's the closet that was standing on the grey one.
Make-up corner on the top, hobbystuff on the first row, patterns and books and the 2nd and 3th row.
My pattern drawing table opened. When closed I've got so much space and when I want to work on my table I can just open it up.
You can see my mirror and next to it a part of my new desk.
Next to the mirror my mom will hang some kind of wardrobe bar so I can hang my cosplays up thet I'm working on.
Also my fittingdoll will need to get a spot...
YEAAAAY for my new desk.
SO MUCH SPAAAAACCCEEE!!!!!!

So....I guess I've showed you everything of my new and improved room and I hope I will be able to keep it this way.
The only point is that dark furniture looks easily dusty and stuff...
Oh well, time to get started on some cosplay projects again since I only have 8,5 week to go X_____X
